Our Family
Hello!
We are Tyler and Shannon Williams and we have served with Cru since 2003! We have been blessed to be able to spend the best years of our lives reaching college students.
We got married in August of 2003, and have 3 unbelievable kids! Lacy was born in October of 2007 and she is the dramatic one in our family. She loves singing, dancing, and performing for our family. Katelyn was born in April of 2010 and she is our passionate little girl. Katelyn cares deeply about many things, including mac 'n cheese and our dog Stellie. Parker was born in May of 2014 and is one of the most smiley kids you'll ever meet.
We've served in locations across the US and around the world including year-long stints overseas in Cape Town, South Africa and Madrid, Spain. We've spent the majority of ministry years with the Cru Campus ministry at Colorado State University and the University of Colorado.
In addition to Shannon's important ministry at home to our kids, she is currently the Valor Missions Director for all campus movements across the US. Valor is Cru's ministry specifically for ROTC cadets and midshippmen on campus who are preparing to be future officers in our US Armed Forces. Her heart is that our Valor staff are equipped and developed so that they can best reach ROTC cadets and midshippmen on campus. So Shannon is multiplying her ministry as these staff raise up students who will in turn reach their friends on campus and wherever the Lord leads them after they graduate. She's also passionate about raising up ROTC women who will become disciple-makers as officers,
Tyler has had many focuses of ministry over the years, from leading an international partnership in South Africa to spending weekly time in discipleship with college students, he has always loved his job! Currently, Tyler is the Team Leader of Cru in Northern Colorado. He gives leadership to a team of staff who are committed to building deep gospel centered relationships that will enable us to reach every student on the Colorado State University (and across Northern Colorado) with the Gospel. His is deeply committed to doing evangelism, discipleship, and missions in a way that meets the current student where they are at.
We can't thank God enough for allowing us to get to do what we do and are thrilled to be able to invest our lives in college students who will impact the world for the Kingdom. It is a cause worthy of our lives and the reason we have entitled our website "Taking Faith". For the rest of our lives we want to be taking steps of faith in order to take the Gospel (faith) to the world.
